Ozark Junior High shows off a newly updated building for the eighth and ninth grade students.

Before renovations, students had to go outside to get from class to class, rain or shine. In severe weather, students had to be held in a classroom until it was clear to go outside.

Another nice thing about the building are the flexible learning spaces, which can be found throughout the whole school.

Emily Cobb a student at Ozark Junior High says, “I love the learning stairs because when I need to finish up some work or need to study for something I can sit there.”

The school’s library isn’t in a room of its own. Instead, several “pods” with transparent bookshelves were placed in the middle of the hallway. Students can move around as they work, or work in groups in one of the pods.

Braxton Chavis says, “I like the new library because there are cool seats that we can sit in and read.”
