Gal Gadot is not your average actress. Gadot is from Israel, and in Israel military service is mandatory for all men and women over the age of 18. Gadot was in the Israeli army for two years and is now a married mom of two. She and the director were aware of the fact that female roles in superhero movies don’t really get the attention that the male roles do, so they were shocked to see that the box office received 103 million dollars over the weekend that the movie came out.

“I was training for six months prior to the shoot. And six hours a day. I did two hours of gym work, two hours of fight choreography, and two hours of horseback riding. Which is super hard. When people used to tell me, ‘Yeah I do sports I ride horses,’ I was like, ‘That’s not sport. The horse does everything.’ No! No! You’d be surprised it’s so painful.” This was the training that Gadot went through for the movie, but she said that it wasn’t as demanding as being an army officer.

Before Princess Diana (Gal Gadot) became Wonder Woman she was being trained by the Amazons which is the island where she lives which is shielded by fog so that nobody will find it. Later in the movie Wonder Woman falls in love with the guy that wrecked onto their island and basically started a war, but she soon learns that her gift is to save people.

Karen Clavijo saw Wonder Woman with her family the day it came out, “I loved Wonder Woman my favorite part of the whole movie was getting to see her try on the different clothes.”

Clavijo adds, “My favorite types of movies are Christmas, horror, and superhero movies like Wonder Woman.”
