The Country Music Awards held the 51st anniversary of the awards show for 2017. For the past ten years Carrie Underwood, with the help of Brad Paisley, have hosted the CMA’s. For 2017 there were 43 performers and presenters in attendance.

Many awards were given such as Entertainer of the Year, Best Vocalist of the year Boy/Girl, Vocal Group of the Year, and many more. The performer that stood out the most to people was Garth Brooks who was awarded Entertainer of the Year.  The following were other recipients of the 2017 CMA honors:

Jon Pardi – New Artist of the Year

Better Man – Song of the Year – Taylor Swift

Brothers Osborne – Vocal Duo of the Year

Funny how time slips away – Musical Event of the Year – Glen Campbell

Little Big Town – Vocal Group of the Year

Blue Ain’t Your Color – Single of the Year – Keith Urban, Chris Lord-Alge

Miranda Lambert – Female Vocalist of the Year

It Ain’t My Fault – Music Video of the Year – Brothers Osborne

Chris Stapleton – Make Vocalist of the Year

From a Room: Volume 1 – album of the year – Chris Stapleton

Mac McAnally – Musician of the Year

The CMA’s were held at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville with 88,500 people attending the event. The CMA’s are held once a year and began in 1967.
