The 2018 Golden Globe Awards, filmed in Beverly Hills, aired January 7 at 7 pm central time. This show was the 75th annual Golden Globes with a long list of winners and nominees.

Before the show began, the stars were making their points clear on the red carpet. The red carpet is where stars show off impressive clothing and fashion styles, but this time they all wore black to show support for the Time’s Up fund which provides legal support to those who have experienced sexual harassment, assault, or abuse in the workplace. The black attire was also in protest to sexual assault, specifically that which takes place in Hollywood.

A few of those attending the event brought special guests with them. Michelle Williams brought Tarana Burke, the founder of the #MeToo movement. Emma Stone’s guest was Billie Jean King, a female tennis legend and advocate for women’s and LGBTQ rights. Some other activists included Marai Larasi, Rosa Clemente, and Monica Ramirez.

Once the show aired there were even more memorable moments. As awards were being given history was made more than once including awards received and speeches given.
