Most of the eighth grade students are very excited for the school dance. “ We really need a break from everything. Map tests, EOC’s, and basically just other regular school work and tests,” Sarah Hale said, “The dance is a way to just let the students have fun and not worry about anything school related or home related,” The dance will be held on May 16 from 6-8 pm in the main gym.

The ninth grade STUCO will be working the dance. Their jobs will be checking students in, setting up the food and snack tables,  The theme of the dance will be, “A Night in Paris.” The dance does have a budget of about $350 for all the food and the DJ. The dance is $5 to get in and students don’t have to dress formally. Although, some girls do like to dress up for the dance.

There will be a big display of a Paris background scene made by an art class in the hallway during the dance that the students can take pictures in front of on their phones. There will also be a giant 12 foot, lighted Eiffel Tower in the dance also for pictures. For more information, students can contact Mrs.Houston at [email protected] or visit her room during school.
